Peptide Evidence Reading Guide
Borrowed Signals examines both how a study was designed and what it actually found. Use this guide to organize your reading of peptide research and the claims made around it.
How to read the evidence
What was tested?
Identify the actual compound, formulation, route, population, and indication. Compare those details with the claim being made.
How was it tested?
Look for the study design, comparison group, sample size, blinding, and duration. Record what those features allow you to conclude.
What was measured?
Distinguish the outcome the study measured from the benefit being advertised. Note whether the outcome was a clinical result or an intermediate marker.
What did the study find?
Separate the reported finding from the study’s hypothesis and from later interpretations. Note whether the complete results are available for inspection.
What remains unresolved?
Record uncertainty, limitations, missing results, and differences between the studied setting and the proposed use.
